Team Buzz 2003

The Georgia Tech Club of Baltimore will celebrated Team Buzz Day, a community involvement activity, on Saturday, October 18th along with Alumni Clubs across the nation. We continued our support of the Catonsville Senior Center in Baltimore County with a volunteer landscaping activity including planting, mulching and light pruning.

The hub of most nutrition and health promotion activities, senior centers, like the Catonsville Senior Center in Baltimore County, provide a vital link for older individuals, encouraging them to take charge of their health and stay involved in their community. Seventeen-percent of Maryland's 60-plus set live in Baltimore County, more than anywhere else in the State.  Senior Centers act as a second home to many of our seniors which is why we're committed to doing our part to ensure them choice, independence and dignity.

This year, the GT Club of Baltimore had a great turnout for Team Buzz Day. Ten of our members, joined by one family member and a visiting out of state alumni turned out to do some weeding, pruning, planting and mulching. After a satisfying morning of community service the crew, listed below, enjoyed a lunch together at a local diner.

Many Thanks and appreciation to our team of dedicated Team Buzz volunteers:
